A comedy troupe put on a Dr. Bill television show with commercials. My favorite were the commercial skits.<br /><br />For the more serious part of the program, a mother spoke about her son being killed by an inexperienced driver who should never have been driving friends (he had a provisional license). That was rough.<br /><br />The main take-aways for the evening include:<br /><br />1. After licensing, continue to drive with your teen at least 30 minutes per week. See for yourself where their skills are and coach them on skills to improve. Be the authoritative parent. Set rules and ensure they are followed.<br /><br />2. Before you let your teen drive on their own at night, or in the rain or snow or on the freeway or where ever, make sure they drive in those conditions with you first. Then you'll see what they know and where they need help. The number one killer of teens is car crashes. The number one reason for these crashes is inexperience (not texting or alcohol). Help your child get a variety of driving experiences before turning them out on their own.<br /><br />3. Set the example. Drive the way you want your child to drive.<br /><br />4. From the mother who lost her 14 year old son: Talk to your kids early about riding with others...when to speak up when something dangerous is happening...when to not get into someone else's car. Those conversations happen frequently for older teens. But younger ones need the same conversations.<br /><br />5. And for the grand finale of the take-aways: Determine your child's readiness for driving before they take driver's education. What kinds of decisions are they making? Are they responsible? Considerate? Chances are they will make the same kinds of decisions when driving. So make sure they are ready for the challenge.</div>

<u>PLEASE do not do any business</u> with this bait and switch Limousine company operating in multiple names as <strong><u>PLATINUM COACH or Fantasy Limousine.</u></strong><br /><strong><u>*** all affiliates who read this, please check this company's online reviews before doing any business with Felix or Marina.********</u></strong><br />This is my dispute as written below to credit card company.<br /> <br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> I am initiating a dispute for poor quality of service for the following reasons, Merchant employed bait and switch tactic, overcharged for service, is unwillingness to resolve matter in good faith.</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> Platinum Coach Limousine engaged in bait and switch by agreeing verbally and  in writing to provide  me a bus which would  seat 50 passengers. Telephone calls were made by myself to Felix 3 times to ensure we were booking a 50 seating passenger bus, and he ensured me that we were reserving  a 50 passenger bus.</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">This reservation was booked and confirmed as a 50 seating passenger bus (bus type A on p10 attachment). The confirmed reservation specify 50 passenger bus which were emailed to Felix of  Platinum Coach Limousine (p1 attachment). Felix from Platinum Coach Limousine reconfirmed  a �50 passengers bus� on the credit card authorization form which he emailed me for signature (p2,3 attachment). The charges are clearly on the form for a 9 hour charter for 50 passenger bus service, $3200 + $57 for tolls totaling $3257.00. (p2,p3 attachment)</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> On the date of service, I personally went to site to pickup a check from my client and observed a  smaller type B 40 passenger bus (refer to p11 attachment) In addition, I observed my clients were sitting uncomfortably as squeezed up against one another in the back of bus. I met up with his driver to ensure he was aware of trip details and that all monies were paid out to Felix of Platinum Coach Limousine. I called up Felix of Platinum Coach Limousine to inquire about the smaller bus, and he failed to answer his telephone, and failed to return my messages on the date of service.</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> The 40 passenger type bus he provided clearly is available for hire in New York ranging between $275-300. I have been charged  $355pr hour for a 50passenger bus and end up getting a  smaller 40 passenger bus .</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> On January 9<sup>th</sup> 2013, I received an email from the end user referencing about the bus service. The clients did not get a 50 passenger bus as agreed.(pp8.9 attachment).Immediately I called Felix at Platinum Coach Limousine.</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> </div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> Felix, and Marina were and are unwilling to resolve this matter in good faith. Felix of Platinum  Coach Limousine refused to admit that he sent a smaller bus, by making a contradictory statement � I sent you a 35-48 passenger bus, I can send you my registration�. In addition, I asked him, �well, why is your driver soliciting additional monies?� Felix stated that the the passengers are lieing, and that he pays his drivers $50.00 an hour and they do not need to solicit any additional tips/monies from passengers. I asked  Felix that he should read my clients email, which I forwarded to him. I called back at the same telephone number in ten minutes to review the E mail with Felix, in order to resolve matter in good faith. Marina answered the phone, who acknowledged receipt of email, and informed me that Felix is not present. She asked me how she could help me . I told her that the bus used for the job was a smaller bus and price charges adjustments are required as a remedy. Her response was that the bus sent for the job was a 42 passenger bus, passengers tend to lie that I should forget about everything. I informed her that I was physically present on date of service at site, and I witnessed the smaller 30-40passnger bus, not the agreed 50 passenger bus. In addition, I informed her that  I witnessed the 39 passengers seated uncomfortably rubbing against one another. Marina responded ridiculously stating that the fact is the interior of bus is cold and for that reason passengers were rubbing up against one another. Once again, I asked that her to adjust the price to the actual bus service received (40passenger bus) because this was a clear bait and switch. Her response was that there is no remedy, and there is nothing that I can do because I have signed the credit card merchant transaction receipt.</div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br /></div><br /><div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> I am requesting a charge back against this merchant because of all the  reasons mentioned. In addition, I am requesting that Visa, Master Card and American Express review his merchant's account for unethical business practices. I have attached additional other reviews by others who had similar bad experiences from Felix and Marina at Platinum Coach Limousine (pp12-15 attachment). ROGUE APPS hurting Transportation industry

Recently there has a been dangerous Rogue App which is operating in the ground transportation industry under the labels "technology company", "referal of clients to limo companies", "taxi company referal agent". Perhaps the labels are really designed to bypass rules and regulations in almost every city of operation.The problem is that the regulators are not sure about the ground transportation industry themselves, and tend to almost buy into these labels.<br /><br />Let me discuss how this Rogue App has fooled New York authorities and regulators. The company considered itself as a "Technology company" however it began to subcontract individual owner operators -NOT any livery companies. This technology company began to act as a central dispatch facility by giving out trips without having a central dispatch facility license.  Now this company was contacted by NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission, and the so called Technology company had to apply for a central dispatch facility license. This company never dispatched through a central facilty but rather connected customers directly with independant owner operators. So it clearly shows that neither is this company a technology company, and nether does it use any companies, and nor does it operate as a licensed dispatch facility. It gets more bizarre, it actually gives drivers e-hails-no prearrangement trips. Livery companies are not allowed to accept hails or e-hails in New York City.<br /><br />The roles were deconclicted between For hire (Livery) companies  and Taxi cab by the regulators back since 1970's. Yellow Taxi Cabs in New York are not allowed to accept prearranged trips, and the Livery companies cannot accept Hails. However, this so called technology company or referal center began to offer the public  a silent form of hail, also known as ON DEMAND.  The on demand is more like 0min, 1min, 2 min, 3mins. A passenger can view the car moving towards him or her  on their iphone, and by hitting the button "request a car" - this sedan will pull up without trip processing through a  central dispatch facilty. This is an Electronic Hail aka<strong><u> E-Hail</u></strong>. This is certainly not prearrangement because is called or processed by central dispatch facility.  Almost in any city, a prearranged trip processed through a central dispatch is somewhat more like 15minutes and not 0min-1min, or 2mins.<br /><br />This same Rogue app turned to Yellow taxis without New York City Taxi & Limousines Commissions permission. This Rogue App gave taxi cab drivers Iphones at JFK Airport lot and began to market " hail a yellow taxi cab". The Taxis in New York are governed to the point that drivers cannot even post pictures of their family on dashboard of their personal taxis-but yet this Rogue App begins to enter Taxi market without NYC TLC's permission. Only after NYC TLC threatened taxi drivers of their licenses being revoked using such iphone apps to accept hails or prearrangements, the Rogue App shut the operation. How more Bizarre does it get?<br /><br />It gets more bizarre, as this Rogue App having audacity to Price Gouge New Yorkers during Sandy storm. The price gouging has been justified by this rogue app  as"free market system". They have been claiming that the industry has never been used to surge pricing for over 100 years and it is time to change all of this. Then this Rogue App has been arguing that the Taxi and Limousine industry is corrupted. What kind of Bullshit is this? For this reason, I believe that we need to educate our neighbors, freinds and families and inform them about this rogue.
